This course aims to teach candidates to apply the sound principles of this ancient system of healthcare that is native to the Indian subcontinent; but is today used daily by millions of people in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and indirectly through it being the major influence on Unani, Chinese and Tibetan Medicine, in China, Tibet, and Pakistan too.

Course Objective 

  • To empower candidates with a clear understanding of the Principles of Ayurveda & Yoga.
  • Provide practical and qualitative knowledge on the foundations of Ayurvedic Healing & Practice
  • Equip candidates with the building blocks that may eventually lead to enabling them to provide both treatment and education in Ayurveda & Yoga
  • Enrich candidates with a sound knowledge on the Conservation, Cultivation & Sustainable Utilisation of Medicinal Plants
  • To enable candidates to learn & practice the methods & techniques of Therapeutic Massage
  • Teach candidates to prepare simple Herbal Preparations
  • Motivate candidates to understand & thrive in an environment that reflects the human face of Ayurveda, with an evolving social perspective
  • Encourage participants to carry out innovative research into the wider and subtler realms of this esoteric knowledge of life – Ayurveda
At the end of the course, students should be able to:

Apply the knowledge gained to enhance your own qualification in any field of Medicine or other Healing arts. You should be able to harness effectively the Principles learnt in India, to adapt and use locally wherever in the world you may return to.

Prerequisites

It is presumed that the selected candidates have a basic qualification in any system of medicine or other life sciences.
Anyone genuinely interested in the study of Ayurveda may also apply.

Successful candidates will be selected according to their motivation & interest in this field of study.

The course needs a minimum of Ten Students to a batch to proceed.
Group enrolment discounts may be considered.

Tutors and Methods

Study with a team of committed and experienced Ayurvedic Physicians, Doctors of Modern Medicine and Scientists working in the field of Life Sciences and other related fields for three weeks (108 hours).

The course will take you through a wide range of thought provoking, interesting themes, and enthral you with a feel of Ayurveda on its most authentic path. A mostly practical oriented, field based and natural study of Ayurveda in its most sincere form is what we hope to achieve.
We may also have many visiting lecturers, all specialists in their particular fields to help enhance your learning experience.

Daily Routine for the 6-Day Week (Sundays are holidays):
Be awake, bathed & ready for a 7:00am START

  • 07:00 – 08:00am - Yoga Demonstration & Practice
  • 08:00 – 08:30 - Relax
  • 08:30 – 09:30am – Breakfast
  • 09:30 – 10:00am – Your own time to catch-up or relax
  • 10:00 – 12:00 noon – Ayurveda - Theory
  • 12:00 – 13:00pm - Your own time to catch-up or relax
  • 13:00 – 14:00pm – Lunch
  • 14:00 – 17:00pm – Ayurveda - Practical

The venue

The main location for your Stay & Workshops will be the eco conscious Aazhimala Resort, located along the famous golden beaches of Kovalam.

Room Type: We expect that you shall be allocated Twin Sharing Rooms, which would be two single beds to a room, with two adults sharing each room.
* Please Note that all room allocations are subject to availability.

Your transfers to the resort & return to the airport shall all be taken care of by our staff in Trivandrum.

* Kerala International reserves the right to cancel enrolments if all due payments are not received in time, relevant correspondence is not maintained, or group size falls below the minimum required of TEN People
